RE:

To Hiring Manager,

Thank you in advance for considering my qualifications for the Project Manager employment opportunity as advertised on your career website. Please find enclosed my resume for your consideration.  In the meantime, I would like to focus your attention on the following details.

I have over 20 years’ experience with varying roles of responsibilities within the realm of Project Management within my current employer that employs over 5,000 employees.  Currently I’m serving as a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Senior Scheduler) for one group of clients, while being a Project Integration Manager for another client. I acquired my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in December 2003.

My experience over the years has included leading various teams in developing and implementing project management systems for managing and tracking projects from inception through closeout.  I bring energy to the table when it comes to facilitating task planning exercises resulting in development of resource-loaded, critical path schedules used to manage, track and report project performance against defined activities and deliverables.  Software packages most utilized include MS Project and Primavera (P6).

Leadership qualities have been demonstrated in the fact that I formally teach a two-day project management course with the emphasis on scheduling and budgeting using MS Project as the primary planning tool. At the same time, I have acquired vast skills in utilizing Primavera (P6) in developing Earned Value Management (EVM) systems for cost and schedule variance analysis and baseline management.  I am also a company instructor of a one-day fundamental project management course and am currently leading a study group with the goal a receiving an Earned Value Management (EVM) certification in September 2015.

Having a non-technical background, I have overseen, built and implemented structured project management systems for different types of projects including R&D, government-to-government, capital project construction, facility maintenance, waste management, nuclear material protection and IT software development projects and look forward to expanding my skills further at your company.

Over the years I have gained exceptional skills in developing close relationships with co-workers, task managers, project managers, as well as executive level professionals and senior management.   I believe these qualities shall contribute significantly to the success of your company.

I would like to thank you very much for your time and consideration.  I am looking forward to meeting you soon.  Please contact me at 509-430-3144 if you would like to discuss my qualifications in more detail.

Sincerely,

Jeff Andrie, PMP
